We were blessed with competent, caring teachers who were interested in our becoming all that we could be.  They were tough on us, they encouraged us, they patiently explained to us and they rooted for us in the classroom and in the extracurricular activities that they sponsored.

What did they do for you?  Which ones do you credit as being the ones that motivated you? Why don't you go to the remembrances page and record your thoughts about your favorites?

Here's what one of our classmates said about them back then:

"Teachers are people.  Most uninformed souls seem to think they are made at a factory, packaged according to category (Physics, American History, Third Grade, English, etc.), and shipped to schools.  They aren't.  They are people who move about from day to day giving their time and talents to tomorrow's citizens."
