Jane Adams Flurry

1938-1983
Jane was one of five children, the youngest of whom was a brother, Tommy.  I chatted with Tommy about his older sister, May 13.

Jane attended East Mississippi Junior College at Scuba, where she was a cheerleader for the football team on which her husband-to-be, John Thompson, played.  They married during school and their first child came about a year later, causing her to cease her academic studies and pursue her career as homemaker.  She had three children, a daughter who resides in New York City, a son, Dan, who lives in Sheffield, and a daughter who is in Franklin, Tennessee.

At the very young age of 45 years, she developed a minor medical problem, but she experienced a severe bout of congestive heart failure and unexpectedly died.
