Linda's Mini Sweethearts Collection of November 2007

Dear Everybody!

Indeed!  A labor of Love!  Nancy Stewart King and Patsy Bell Congleton brought 11 photos to the November get-together of the SHS Sweethearts.  They were photos of US taken after we graduated and 'way before now--mostly in the 1980's.  At the Sweethearts' luncheon, there was much conversation and controversy as to exact dates.

I have scanned them into digital image files and sent them to Louis with most of the identifications and dates as best I could find out.  He promised us that he would make another guessing game/contest for you to see how many you can name.  One group photo has some hard (for me) to identify faces, so your help will be greatly appreciated.

Think I am paying my dues for becoming a California girl and missing out on long-time friendships of classmates . . . but I'm catching up!!!

Ed Note:  Here's the game!

On this page you will find the faces of the girls taken out of the context of the photos Linda sent.  See if you can name them, then click on the photo to see the whole photo with Linda's ID's and dates.

The big photo of the group has been changed to an "antique" photo and each girl has a number.  This is the photo without ID's by Linda, so your guess or helpful positive identification will be appreciated.

P.S.:  I already know the ID's, and you would too if you have visited the right place on our website.

The first SHS Sweetheart who sends me the correct ID's of all 10 of these young ladies eats free at the next Sweethearts gathering at the Southland.  I have a $25 gift certificate in my possession that should provide for lunch and maybe one of the Southland's famous pies.

Well, Gals!  The contest is over almost before it got started.  Joyce Ford Foster was the first to name all 10 of these ladies correctly.  Want to see the answers?

It pays to visit the website often.

Way to go Joyce!

ERRATA:  By the way, to all of you who read this announcement of the winner before this corrected version, I erroneously assumed that Joyce now goes by her first name, Rachel, because "rachel" is in her email address.  I apologize for any misunderstanding or inconvenience this may have caused.  The Joyce we knew and admired is still Joyce.
