Under the tent at Jim Holland's Reunion Banquet

Well, Folks, our Fiftieth Reunion is now history!

What a history it was!

This section of the website will now be your place to stop and reminisce about the wonderful two days in June when the storm clouds parted one and a half hours before the first event, the weather turned cooler, the skies were bluer and the mood was cheerier right up to Sunday morning after the last event on Saturday night and the rain returned.  What happened in those two glorious days was, to many, magical.

Everybody who has sent me feedback told me that this was the best ever get-together we have had, not so much because of the things we did, but because of the number who attended.  It's been half a century, for heavens' sake, and at least 65 (by my count of the group picture on Jim's lawn Saturday night) of the 99 of us who remain attended the banquet depicted above.  There may have been a couple who came Friday night and didn't attend the banquet--some registered for the events that way, so who knows what the accurate total head count really was.  It was a great turnout, and that is what everybody feels so good about.

But, the events went well, too.  While socializing and catching up were the main order of business--the photographer could hardly get his instructions heard over the conversations that never ceased, the programs at all four main events were both fun, nostalgic and meaningful.  As Leslie Powell's photos show, couples and groups mingled and coalesced, and everybody had a smile on their face.  On these pages, I will present a sample of the photos of the official photographer, Leslie Powell, and those of you who have shared yours with me.

As I continue to build this section of the website, you will find more and more links to photo collections, the newspaper article, stories and testimonials from classmates and other reminders of the great times we experienced during our Golden Reunion.  Send me your stories and thoughts about this grand event.
