Christmas Kids Of all the blessings we can count, some of the dearest to most of us are our children, grandchildren and, for some of us, great-grandchildren. From the Christmas 2007 holiday season, here are some photographs of the cutest, brightest, most adorable creatures that God has blessed us, our kids and grandchildren with. If these images could speak, I'm sure you would hear each of them telling you that they hope you and yours have a very blessed Christmas and a prosperous, Happy New Year. Thank you so much, classmates, for your contributions of these delightful photos. To the rest of you: Send your photos of the youngsters in your family to Louis (email address: lebuettner@comcast.net) or loan them to Linda Methvin Smith who can scan them into digital files and send them to me. |

Mary Ann Byars Lenz |
L-R: Emily (9 yrs) and Hope (14 yrs) and cousin Olivia (11 yrs) Three of Mary Ann's granddaughters with their American Girl Dolls, this year's Christmas presents, have been transported from Grandmama's house to Honduras via the magic palette of PhotoShop. You see another little character in this scene, the patron saint of Honduras, Our Lady of Suyapa. The irony of this is that our classmate of the same name, Mary, is doing saintly things for the people of Honduras. Check out Mary Ann's Current Bio and Miriam's Story , too.

| Ronald Gene Pace |
Forrest, Ronald Gene's No. 1 grandchild and son of Terry, was "Santa" this year.
Ronald Gene said, and I quote, "Forrest is real interested in tools and building. He wanted me to build him a work bench. They were going to take a picture of us with the work bench, but sister had to be included also."
Ronald Gene says of Alexandra, the little sister by only 13-14 months, "She is a picture ham!"

From a winter wonderland, Shirley's grandboys John David, 9 years old, and Benjamin, 6 years old, send their White Christmas greetings for the family.

Luke says, "Hope your New Year is less confining than this car seat!"
Where did the football go?

Gee, I cannot believe I blew out both of those candles in one try! (Peggy's great-granddaughter, Reese)

Kennedy Grace and her beautiful Christmas tree

Barbara's other (She's got 2!) great-granddaughter. Claire is obviously cute enough to make a Halloween Trick or Treat haul that weighs as much as she does!
Linda points out that both Claire and Kennedy Grace have many of the facial features of their great-grandmother Barbara. Don't you think so, too?
Claire says, "What a good start for the New Year! I put in my spoon and pulled out a cherry! I hope your New Year was as good as mine."

Claire's Mom writes, Hello! |

Zecora Wilcutt Sanders |
Darby, 9 years old, and Jordan, 15 years old, show last year's Christmas spirit in front of the electrified float that Zecora and Bob enter in the Christmas parades in the Shoals.
And what an entry!!! It's a vintage 1948 Crosley Station Wagon virtually identical to the one Bob learned to drive in on the street in front of his home.
It's a unique, almost magical sight to behold. Darby thinks we can't be in a parade unless she is with us. She is our youngest and has been such a delight -- she's so full of life.
Thought you might be interested to see how I put to use our "old" Christmas ornaments. Two are from our very first Christmas tree 49 years ago. The others were used in Bob's home when he was growing up.
The nativity in lights did not find its place on our fence this year due to Bob's broken arm. We'll just enjoy it twice as much next year!!! Ed. Note: Do I see the "Star in the East" in the sky above the Nativity on the right side of this photo? |

Christmas herald angel, Jordan, proclaims, "My Grandparents wish all their classmates a Merrrrrry Christmas!"

Buck says, "This is one of my favorite photos of Sophia as she rides her horse to magical lands that live in her imagination."
"It is sometimes hard to find Kari as she gets ready to take her nap with all her friends!" |
